Decidi fazer um especial de um dos meus Idolos Marvin Gaye, eu que sou apaixonada por R&B e gêneros próximos desse ritmo musical maravilhoso , mostrarei aqui um pouco da sua história e o principal intuito que é postar sua DISCOGRAFIA, solo, duetos ,Albuns póstumos , coletâneas ,edições deluxe e relançamentos e singles com bandas que ele ja fez parte .


Marvin Gaye (2 de abril de 1939 - 1 de abril de 1984), nascido Marvin Pentz Gay Jr., foi um cantor popular de soul e R&B, arranjador, multiinstrumentista, compositor e produtor. Ganhou fama internacional durante os anos 60 e 70 como um artista da gravadora Motown.


Marvin Gaye dedicou sua vida à música. Tanto foi que, apesar de ter sido um artista absolutamente genial e bem-sucedido profissionalmente, nunca teve grandes alegrias no lado pessoal. Gaye, porém, utilizava-se dos fracassos nos relacionamentos para compor canções de sucesso e álbuns que entraram para a história.


Depois de passar por alguns grupos e adquirir experiência, lançou The Soulful Moods Of, em 1961, encantando a todos pela profundidade das harmonias e melodias em faixas como “How Deep Is The Ocean?” e “How High The Moon”. Durante todas a décadas de 60 e 70 continuou lançando clássicos e duetos com Mary Wells, Kim Weston e Tammi Terrell. São dessa fase discos como Marvin & Mary Together, de 1964, Easy, de 1969.


A parceria com Tammi Terrell parece ter sido a mais dolorosa. Embora eles não fossem amantes - como a imprensa gostava de especular - a morte da cantora, vítima de um tumor no cérebro em 1970, deixou Marvin Gaye em depressão.


What’s Going On de 1971, cuja canção homônima chegou a ser recusada pela gravadora que não a considerou comercial o suficiente, é outro marco na carreira do cantor. O ao vivo “Live!”, de 1974 e “Here My Dear”, de 1978, que falava sobre o fim de seu casamento com Anna, também tiveram ótima repercussão. Logo que seu divórcio foi concluído, casou-se com Janis Hunter, com quem ele teve dois filhos quando ainda era casado legalmente com Anna. Entrou na década de 80 em um dos melhores momentos de sua carreira, com “Midnight Love”, que trazia o ‘hit’ "Sexual Healing".


Marvin Gaye já era o principal artista da famosa gravadora Motown quando, infelizmente, um fato trágico fez o cantor se calar. No dia 1º de abril de 1984, véspera de seu aniversário, quando completaria 45 anos, Marvin Gaye foi assassinado pelo próprio pai, ministro da Igreja do Sétimo Dia, a tiros após um desentendimento familiar.

Hoje vou postar um documentário que eu assisti faz um bom tempo mais as imagens daquele documentário estão comigo até hoje.
Notícias de uma Guerra Particular circulou pelo exterior como extra do DVD internacional de Cidade de Deus. E, de fato, trata-se de um complemento mais do que adequado ao filme de Fernando Meirelles. Mostra o Cotidiano não só de Traficantes e policiais mais como dos moradores também, embora tenha sido gravado a mais de uma década a temática abordada continua atual.

O que mais me intriga é que em mais de uma década nada tenha sido feito invéz de diminuir a violência, ela se agravou, e infelizmente não tem como apontar um só culpado por isso, os politicos ? os usuários de drogas ? os traficantes ? policiais corruptos ? enfim não há só um culpado nessa história, talvez quando tiver ideologia na política, educação para todos, saúde, bons salários, mais oportunidades e outras coisas que nosso país precisa, as coisas comecem a andar no caminho certo.

Nesta quarta (16 de Junho), Tupac Shakur completaria 39 anos de idade se estivesse vivo. O rapper foi baleado em Las Vegas no dia 7 de Setembro de 1996. Tupac veio a falecer seis dias depois do ocorrido. Seu assassinato continua sem solução.Tupac continua vivo através de sua obra musical, que inclui álbuns como 'The Don Killuminati:The Seven Day Theory', 'All Eyez on Me', 'Better Dayz', 'Me Against the World', 'Pac’s Life' e '2Pacalypse Now'. De acordo com o Guinness Book, Tupac Shakur é o rapper que mais vendeu discos, atingindo mais de 75 milhões de cópias vendidas ao redor do mundo.
